A conversation between Amit Mohindra, Jeffrey Moriarty (Executive Director, Hoffman Center for Business Ethics, Bentley University) and Nathan Carter (Professor, Bentley University).
Employee data are increasingly used to improve business outcomes as organizations focus on talent as the “final frontier” of competitive advantage. However, employees are not always told when their data are being collected, what is being done, and how the data collection and analysis might benefit them.
This conversation explores ethical issues in collecting, storing, and utilizing employee information. The panel will raise questions about fundamental tensions between organizational interests and individual rights, the unintended consequences of data collection, and the responsibility of holding sensitive personal information.
Issues such as security, privacy, consent, safety, fairness, transparency, the role of leadership, rights and responsibilities, standards and regulations, and authenticity will be discussed.
The event is in person in Room AAC 143 on the Bentley University Campus and will be webcast. Register for the webinar here;
